The Retreat is accredited as a New Zealand Luxury Lodge. Set in 160 acres of pure privacy on the cliffs right on the edge of the tranquil waters of Lake Pukaki, with spectacular views of Aoraki / Mt Cook and one of the darkest and purest night sky views in the world.

Your private and luxurious villa or homestead accommodation offers high wooden ceilings, sandstone floors and elegant ensuite bathrooms.
Included in your stay is a three course evening meal, refreshments and breakfast provisions. Experience long forgotten flavours with our organic garden to plate menu.
You will have exclusive use of the retreat, including the wine cellar and observatory experience and spa facilities (sauna, fitness room, massage, hot tub, walking tracks, petanque and tennis court, seasonal ice skating and curling).

Nestled between Lake Pukaki and the Ben Ohau ranges, Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat offers free WiFi, a hot tub and free daily breakfast and dinner. All accommodations offer stunning views.

Set on 160 acres within the Aoraki Mackenzie Dark Sky Reserve, Mt Cook Retreat is a 7-minute drive from Twizel and 30 minutes' drive from Mt Cook Village. Lake Tekapo is a 30-minute drive away.

Accommodations options include three 1 or 2 bedroom luxury villas with each with a hot tub, fireplace and drawing room. Each of the heated suites offers high wooden ceilings, sandstone floors and an elegant ensuite bathroom.

The Villa with Lake views has a private sauna, fitness room and massage room.

Guests receive free afternoon tea on arrival. Your free breakfast provisions are prepared by the Retreat chefs and include, homemade bread, muesli, jams and fruit. Guests can enjoy tennis, stargazing, cycling and hiking on the property.
